Ashleigh Branstetter grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A former model, she discovered early on the path her future would take after taking a summer session in figure-drawing at the Parsons School of Design in New York. Branstetter returned to LSU, changed her major to Art, and fell in love with painting and drawing. Graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Art in sculpture and a minor in Jewelry and Medals, she then went on to further hone her jewelry skills at the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina, the Revere Academy of Jewelry Artists in San Francisco and Gemological Institute of America.
Quietly building a reputation for her gorgeous hand-crafted jewelry of colored gemstones and pearls, Branstetter produces romantic, delicate and feminine jewelry. In using materials such as eighteen-karat gold and platinum with added diamonds, gemstones or pearls, her work is exceedingly elegant. Her designs have won praise, including her 2010 AGTA Spectrum Award™ winning cufflinks, which were featured at the Oscars, worn by Oscar winning “Avatar” cinematographer Maurio Fiore. Her jewelry has been featured in Brides magazine and Florida International magazine.
